Terms of Service

Last updated October 2, 2026 · Applies to the Waypoint Booking BigCommerce app, its dashboard, and its storefront widget.

Plain-language summary: Install Waypoint Booking, get a 1-week free trial with full access, then pick a plan to keep using it. We run the booking engine; you're responsible for your store, your catalog, and your relationship with your customers. Uninstalling starts a 30-day countdown, after which your data is deleted. We can't promise the app will never break, but we'll tell you when something does.

This document is written to match how the app actually works, not generic template language — but it isn't legal advice, and we'd recommend a lawyer review it (particularly the governing law, liability, and billing sections) before you rely on it as your official terms.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By installing Waypoint Booking from the BigCommerce App Marketplace, or otherwise accessing its dashboard or API, you ("the merchant," "you") agree to these Terms of Service on behalf of the BigCommerce store you're installing it on. If you're installing on behalf of a company, you're confirming you have the authority to bind that company.

These terms sit alongside — not instead of — BigCommerce's own Marketplace terms and API terms of use, which continue to apply to your store independently of this app.

2. The service

Waypoint Booking turns products in your BigCommerce catalog into bookable appointments and time slots. It provides:

We may add, change, or remove features over time. We'll try not to remove something you're actively relying on without notice, but this isn't a guarantee that any specific feature is permanent.

3. Accounts & access

Access to the dashboard is controlled entirely by BigCommerce's own staff-account system — anyone who can log into your BigCommerce control panel and open the app has full access to every part of it, including billing and settings. We don't currently support restricting what individual staff members can see or do inside the app. Managing who has access to your BigCommerce control panel is your responsibility.

4. Plans, trial & billing

Trial

A new install gets one week of full, unrestricted access with no subscription required. After the trial ends, the dashboard is blocked until you choose a plan — your storefront widget and existing bookings keep working for your customers regardless; only your own management access is affected.

Plans

PlanPriceWhat's different
Basic$30/monthThe full core booking engine.
GrowthPricing to be announcedEverything in Basic, plus recurring-course bookings and two-way calendar sync.
EnterpriseCustom — contact usEverything in Growth, plus priority support and coordinated setup across multiple stores.

How you're charged

Subscriptions are billed through BigCommerce's own Unified Billing — you check out on a BigCommerce-hosted page, and the charge lands on your normal BigCommerce invoice. We never see or store your card details ourselves.

Cancelling

You can cancel a subscription at any time through BigCommerce's own billing management. Cancelling stops future charges; we don't currently offer prorated refunds for the unused portion of a billing period unless required by law in your jurisdiction.

5. Your data & your customers

You own your business data — your resources, services, bookings, and settings. For your customers' personal data, you're the data controller and we act as a processor on your behalf, the same relationship as any other app installed on your store. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what's collected, how it's used, and how it's protected.

You're responsible for making sure your own use of the app — the information you collect from customers, the notification webhooks you configure, anything you export — complies with the privacy laws that apply to your business and your customers.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may suspend access for an account that we reasonably believe is violating this section, ideally with notice first, immediately if the risk is urgent (e.g. actively harming other merchants or our infrastructure).

7. Third-party services

The app depends on BigCommerce's own platform and APIs to function at all — if BigCommerce changes, restricts, or discontinues an API we rely on, or your store's own BigCommerce subscription lapses, parts of the app may stop working through no fault of ours. If you connect Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook for two-way sync, that integration is similarly subject to those providers' own availability and terms.

8. Service availability

We aim to keep the app available and responsive, and we design for real failure modes rather than assuming everything upstream (BigCommerce, our own infrastructure, connected calendar providers) always works. That said, we don't currently offer a formal uptime SLA outside of a custom Enterprise contract. Scheduled maintenance and occasional downtime can happen; we'll try to keep disruption brief and, where practical, out of business hours.

9. Intellectual property

We own Waypoint Booking — its code, design, and branding. Installing the app gives you a license to use it on your store for as long as your subscription (or trial) is active; it doesn't transfer any ownership to you. You keep all rights to your own store's content, branding, and the business data you put into the app.

10. Termination

Uninstalling starts a 30-day deletion window

  • Removing Waypoint Booking from your BigCommerce control panel switches the app off for your store immediately and disconnects any linked calendars. Your store's data — every resource, service, booking, and setting — is kept for 30 days.
  • If you reinstall within those 30 days, your setup is restored. After 30 days it is permanently deleted and can't be recovered — if you might want the data back, export what you need (e.g. the attendee CSV, booking records) before then.

We may also suspend or terminate access for a serious or repeated breach of the acceptable-use section above, or if required to do so by BigCommerce or by law.

11. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose — we build carefully and test in production, but we can't guarantee the app will be error-free or uninterrupted.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we won't be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (like lost profits or lost bookings) arising from your use of the app, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose.

Nothing in this section limits liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited (for example, liability for our own fraud or, where applicable, death or personal injury caused by negligence).

12. Changes to these terms

If we make a material change to these terms, we'll update this page and change the "last updated" date above, and try to notify installed merchants directly for anything that meaningfully changes your rights or obligations. Continuing to use the app after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
